A 120 Dollar ryokan is optimal
you dont wear shoes on tatami, not even slippers please. It is rude.
re-o-kan lmao
I think I found a strawberry blonde pewdiepie
if you don't have converter or forgot, you can get extension cord from any convenience store and have the third prong of your usa plug stick out, it'll work.
That weather + Onsen is heaven for me. 🥺
For $500 looks bad.
Wrong! Tatami mat is not made from rice straw. It is mainly made with a plant called Igusa.
Loved your video I’m looking for ideas of places to stay and things to do on a budget it’s been a dream to visit Japan
Have to remind ourselves that while in the west we expect a cheap place to be unsanitary and smelly, but in Japan they provide 200%, whether its a 50 or 500 dollar place both.
If the 500 dollars each person, if with wife or girl friend does that mean 2 sukiyaki or hotpot. The table might too small with all the heap of cooking mayerials and food.
500 p.P`?
Up there you put your insubordinate friends
First guest house probably has no dinner and breakfast. A ryokan usually includes dinner and breakfast in its rate. Second ryokan must be the price for 2 people with dinner and breakfast. The ryokan looks old and the dinner looks ok. They should charge $150 to $200 range. I assume that you didn't spend $500 but $500 had a good impact to get attention. You could stay much nicer place (room and dinner) if you spend $500. I still think that this is a good video.
You cat stay at much better places than one in the vid with $500 for sure. I’m from Japan btw
you have a great sense of humour, and great video too. One day I will visit Japan for sure

Living the life I'd love to live. ;^;
4:38 Wrong Manner. That's not right way. have to stay putting chopstic on the table during say Itadakimasu.
3:56 Indeed She is called NAKAI, but not Japanese housemaid. just room service. She's main job is catering
Even so, there are many wrong interpretations!
3:50 These beverages are not free. need payment.
1:58 Off the slippers on the Tatami mat! You need study more!!
Tatami mat made from IGUSA straw. not rice straw. you need study more!
U sounds dutch haha. Anyway Nice video
When you have ridden your motorcyle 300 km from Akita (heading back to Tokyo) and it's a rainy night and you are in Echigo Yuzawa looking for a place to crash for the night, I will gladly take a $50 ryokan every day of the week. You get your own 6-tatami room, a warm futon, there's an onsen, and a beer vending machine, so you have everything that you need. (Better than trying to set up a tent in the rain or sleeping under an overpass.)
