When I was a young man visiting Pattaya I was always with the ladies of the night. I found myself staying away from the western hotels because the girls really don't like them. They don't like the air conditioning and they don't like Western food. it seemed like most of them enjoyed eating from the food courts. Anyway now that I'm 70 I think I would look a little stupid with a 22-year-old hanging on my arm. Your lifestyle is a little more proper. I think I would be the same now.

  2. Mickey Mao says:

Yeah, same as with the P Plus, it's constantly rammed with mainland Chinese tour groups when things are normal. Some of the guesthouses across the yard are pretty chilled though, the ones at the front of the block, facing Soi Lengkee, with double glazing installed are the quietest. The ones facing Vogue, you get the engines from the tour buses waking you up early in the morning.

It's been a few years but the best pancakes I ever had in Pattaya were at the restaurant inside the Penthouse hotel on Soi 13/4. My buddy and I ordered the regular and banana pancakes and we thought they were better than IHOP back in the US.

I have stayed at the Vogue hotel. It was great. It was very quiet and enjoyable. Only real noise was an occasional siren from an ambulance. The hospital is close to the backside of the hotel. When I checked in. I put my bags down, went to the restroom, and to my suprise there was a man on my balcony. His face was covered. For a second I thought something was wrong. Then I saw his paint brush. There were workmen dangling off ropes repainting the building. Great area just off Soi Lengkee close to 3rd road. Soi Chiapoon is 1 block away. Very close to Soi Bukahou. Great resturants and bars in the area. LK metro is a short walk. I would definitely stay again.

So any way.. my question is, is it possible to buy one of those shirts that is shown in the video? and if so, where do i order them?

    Best Regards Jacob.

Don't tell Nick i said ,but tell him not to give up his day job concerning live party nights 🤦‍♂️555 i'm joking ..reserved table, never had one of those 🤷‍♂️As for the sunday roast he couldn't finish ''sacrilege '' 🤦‍♂️Nice watching you and nick on your vlogs 🍺I'm convinced there was a Thai guy at the end of soi pothole that pulled the plug 🤣

Cheap Charlie’s on Bukhau i agree they have fairly good food, the restaurant you had pancakes in I think I have had a nice breakfast there last year,if it is the one opposite Opey De Place hotel.if you head down Bukhau past the hospital there is a Restaurant called Nickys. Very good. Take care looking forward to your birthday bash

  9. TjMcD says:

You needed a haircut? Obviously you haven' t been on months-long lockdown as others have. I had to wait four months to get a haircut. Being 60+ that meant more hair out of my ears and nose than anywhere else. 😉

  10. John Veca says:

Great vid but needless to say the Cheap Charlie meal that you were served was utter crap (rubbish as our British friends would say). Personally, I order Thai food just about everywhere I eat in LOS. Unless, of course the review for a particular restaurant is very over the top. The hotel did look inviting, great pool and the room looked clean, comfortable and well appointed. Well worth just over 600 baht IMO. Keep having fun! After all, one of my favorite quotes is "life is no dress rehearsal."

  11. J Sexton says:

Is the whole interview on YouTube somewhere? It sounded interesting, we are curious about when we can come back to Thailand. Our current trip planned for December may be pushed to March 2021, and so on if the world don't get back to some sense of normalcy.

  12. BUD WHITE says:

I use to use that shortcut through the Vogue Hotel area quite a bit. Neat little area. I enjoyed this video quite a bit. Thanks for producing these. If anything, it keeps my SE Asia hopes alive…Cheers.
