Have you ever been to Korean restaurants in the U.S. or Canada? Even if trying Korean food in U.S. might not be quite as authentic as trying one in Korea, you’ll know the difference between Korean soybean paste and miso… When I was first introduced to miso soup, someone said it’s the same with Korean soybean paste stew, making me happily order it to dip in. What nonsense that person was spewing.. I regretted even paying for that miso soup. That totally wasn’t what I was expecting. Please. Just please don’t compare Doenjng Jjigae to miso soup. There’s a whole world of culinary difference between those two. Maybe I’m just being picky, but as I’m sure most ppl are striving to be epicurean, I’m pointing out a crucial factor everyone visiting or eating Korean food should know.

As a Korean, 'Hi Meat' is just a franchised cheap buffet meat restaurant, didn't have to go to Gangnam for that, and even it's not charcoal baking (charcoal baking is much more delicious), you should visited some better restaurants, that's bad. 🙁

I'm happy to see you guys enjoyed K-BBQ, but at the same time embarrassed that they took you to Hi-meat. It's one of the cheapest chain in Korea and none of my friend go their. Samgyeobsal in the vlog is so THIN. It's a disgrace. If you come back to Korea later I suggest you to try better place.

This is an awesome video! I was born in South Korea and moved to the United States at 6 months old. I haven't been back but my family may go in a couple of years. Have you tried bibimbap there? One of my favorite Korean meals.

Korean comments are saying about a small mistake in your explanation about Miso soup. Korean soybean paste and Japanese Miso is quite diffrent, and unlike Japanese Miso soup, Korean Dœnjangjjigae (된장찌개; Soybean paste stew) is more like stew rather than soup. I know your explanation is more understandable for westerners, but koreans are usually very offended by using japanese or chinese things as an example to expain korean things. Sorry about poor english x)
