Hey Paddy, you keep mentioning "drum" brakes. You should be made aware you have disc brakes front and rear on Zelda. You don't have drum brakes at all. The front disc brakes may have an ABS system to prevent lockup (this is just a feature of a normal disc brake system on some vehicles), but both your front and rear are still referred to as "disc brakes", or simply just brakes, because drum brakes are rarely used on anything anymore. Hi Paddy, did you manage to get into Laos with a Motorbike ? I have a 125cc and tried to cross the border by Upon ratchathani -Chong Mek. Thai Registration and green book etc. But was told only tours and groups. Were you successful at any border ?

hi paddy, you should watch "view finder" vlog the one to northern laos and their motorbike broke down on a rainny with muddy road … but they travel in a huge group of motorbikes// be careful cuz you are travelling alone, the road in laos is horrible and no one passes on that road (roads are empty no one lives along the road)// you need to have tent plus some dry food packed for you each time you are on the road/// yes, "view finder" team got stuck in northern laos because of land slide please look at their clip now.

Afaik you can’t legally take a under 250cc at any border into Laos for the reasons mentioned. You can’t ride across from NK bridge, I’m guessing you will take it on a truck – what you are doing is illegal, I suggest you read GTrider, maybe contact David to see where the land lies – alternatively get a bigger bike, versys 400 might suit.
PADDY!! Seeing these places I have never been to before is for me "next level" I love it. Don't make it sound so mundane and average because for those of us who have not been there it is fantastic to watch and see all these new places. Keep up the great work. I had been in Chiang Saen by chance since I expect to visit only Golden triangle and found It's such a nice place.
I am in Laos now, planning to cross over the friendship bridge from Vientiane to Nong Khai later today. Vientiane has been very quiet in the tourist area near the river, many restaurants and bakeries look as though they have been closed since the beginning of Covid. Entered Laos at the friendship bridge at Chiang Khong/ Huay Xai 12 days ago, not a drop of rain in 12 days, beautiful sunny weather. Can't wait to see where you go and what you get up to in this beautiful country

Good luck when you cross into Laos. I last went there on a visa run in 1998 and a series of events led to me staying in a village/town called Pakxan about 3 hours SE of Vientiane. Lovely people everywhere. Have a blast!

Why did you get denied that’s all I wanted to know I’m so impatient these days as a 44 year old who has has his head messed up with short videos straight to the point, I just crossed the border from Laos 🇱🇦 to Thailand and it was such a hassle to get a visa on arrival in Thailand 🇹🇭 it puts me off coming here to Thailand, I had to book and ticket to leave Thailand and pay 2000 baht about £60 fora months stay
Laos is easy. If they deny you, just slip them a $20 bill. Money talks.

OEM parts on most bike under $20,000 USD are very low quality, AKA fake parts. This includes tires, chain, suspension, brake pads and shoes.
I recommend to upgrade the suspension, pads and shoes ASAP with quality parts.
Avoid suspension parts made in Thailand if possible.
