In today’s video we share with you our simple daily life in Seoul. We loved having napolitana pizzas in Europe. We fell in love with Neapolitan pizzas all over again during our trip to Italy. We learnt how to bake the napolitana pizzas at home. And it turns out amazing at home as well. We made that here in Kore for the first time. The dough was perfect however the pizza did not turn out so well because of our oven. I think you need the electric oven to be able to make Napolitana pizzas at home. We have gas oven so the heat is only from gas burners at the bottom. But what you need for that beautiful, charred crust is high heat from that electric coil on top. The pizza was fine. We have made better pizzas. We will try it someplace else. The recipe I follow to make the pizza dough is this:
Next we made masoor ki dal and rice for lunch. This combination is my favorite comfort food and reminds me of my parents house. My mother would make it for me on Sundays because I absolutely loved it. I always remember my mother when I make this. Sunday lunches at home were the best!
We were in the mood for yummy mutton biryani. Although biryani is Panda’s domain and be makes amazing biryanis, yet this week I felt like trying my hand at it. And to our surprise, it turned out well. Maybe with some more practice I can get better at it! Biryani is love! There is nothing as amazing as a plate of good biryani! We also got malai barfi from Foreign Food Mart and it was so delicious. Getting Indian sweets here in Korea is very difficult. So when you get have some great mithai, it’s a bonus. And what a way to finish your meal after biryani! Loved it!
This week we went to KFC to try the fried chicken. Both of us do not like KFC at aal. But since Korean fried chicken is so divine, we thought of trying KFC once. We were really disappointed with the food. I was expecting that to happen because KFC uses really big birds due to which their meat is chewy and not tender. One thing that Korean fried chicken has in common at all shops is that they don’t use big birds. Which also makes the fried chicken so soft and tender. KFC was dry, not juicy, chewy, rubbery and a total miss.
A great week. I count my blessings everyday and try to live in the moment. Life’s simple pleasures is what is life all about!
