A side-issue I had with the Biergarten, which by all rights SHOULD have been one of my favorite restaurants in the park (I love a lot of the food it serves): It stinks of sauerkraut. Like, seriously, big-time stinks of it. The horrid stench wafts unpleasantly from the entryway to invade into some of the German plaza, warning all around that the nasty, foul stuff is to be found within. I could not bring myself to move past 10 feet from the doorway, and I had to hold my nose to get that far. Though I may be a tad biased against the smell of sauerkraut, mind you.

  2. Natalie Kitchin says:

we had never been to garden grill and then when we found out it was revolving AND overlooked living with the land we had to go. One of the best meals I have had at a disney park (im pescatarian so i also speak for the plant based option!)

  3. theMadHadder says:

Sommerfest is my absolute favorite place here. Nothing like a brat/kraut and a cold Schofferhofer to wash it down. I actually never thought of doing a sit down restaurant in EPCOT as the food choices that i want to try are vast….I like grazing the entire day as my kids like things from different areas.

  4. Thuban Windrider says:

I'd really like to try Takumi-Tei next time, but based on the Disney site, they're only mentioning the chef's table, which has a minimum party size of 6 (and a $300 fee for each person under that)… I'd be travelling just with my husband. Is the tasting menu and beverage pairing available for a smaller party, even if not the chef's table?

  5. Enchanted Chicken says:

I wouldn't rank Les Chefs de France higher than Biergarten, no way. Les Chefs de France was my least favorite meal in all of Epcot when I went. For the Disney vibe and even general food choice, I thought Biergarten was better. Less cramped and super fun too.

  6. Christian Faux says:

One time my family and I went to grab seats at the Cantina so we had good spots to watch the fireworks, got there good and early, started drinking, drank too much and went home hours before the fireworks.

    We regretted nothing.

  7. MonoKabi says:

I'm doing these in reverse, as I came from the Disney Springs one to here.. but these should definitely be called Ratings videos, not *Rankings*, as you are not ranking them in a high to low or low to high order, just rating them individually with a 1-10 rating. Love the videos themselves, just hate the titles… or format, whichever one is as intended the other just rubs me the wrong way.

  8. S Braun says:

I am also now a local. I have had food at 80% of the restaurants you have reported on. You are spot on all the time. You report in a way I would characterise as "d**n charming" Thank you for what you and your staff do. I like Mongello but I love you.

  9. Sean Servo says:

We went to Chefs de France as a family with high school/college age kids (who spoke French and loved all things France), around 2000ish? Got a pic with the real French waiter bc we loved him so much! Glad it's still around.

  10. Sean Servo says:

Pretty sure we ate downstairs at Garden Grill, had no idea it spun or had characters, was just convenient to Soarin' ride. Also came for the rose gold cupcake while it was supposedly still there, they had to sub frozen themed one but it was lovely nonetheless. Not crowded, fairly quiet was the best part.

  11. Rio Riggs says:

1:00:00 – There are no Italian food chains in Italy and Fettuccini Alfredo is not Italian. Also, 90% – 100% of the food in American Italian restaurants is not authentic, it's inspired. The prices of pretty much all food at the Italian pavilion are completely nuts. Great video!

  12. Rio Riggs says:

Just came back from Epcot and it made me realize how lucky I am to be living in the Greater Montreal area. Honestly most of the food at Disney is cafeteria level at best. Obviously food at le Cellier is very good.

  13. Figure Skating says:

Hi! Does anyone have any suggestions on the best places to get more food for your money at any of the places at the Disney World parks? $3.49 for a small dish of mac and cheese is not enough and costly. The other foods are even more costlier. Yes, we understand food costs tons and they want you to spend more money and give very little, but we are on a budget. Any recommendations? Thanks for your help.

  14. Kenneth Barr says:

Since my background is German, I would rate both Sommerfest & Biergarten at least a point higher because the food is excellent & the atmosphere is festive. Plus, there’s dancing at Biergarten. Too many German restaurants these days are tourist traps, these two are truly German.

Back in the eighties The Rose & Crown had an absolutely exquisite selection of pies, particularly chicken & leek. Unfortunately they are no more. They also no longer do Toad In The Hole, another favorite of mine.
