I don't have Netflix but when my grandchildren visit they log on using their accounts, so as you say it's going to be a bit difficult to administer.

Netflix lost a boatload of paying customers by their continued supporting of that p3do nonsense cuties and rebranding it under its French name. I know many people who cancelled their accounts on that basis. They trying to claw back some lost revenue is my best guess with this trick.

Couldn't care less subscription services are useless and not worth the money, modern movies are crap, i just pick a movie from my dvd collection.
The underlying woke and pedo narrative is what puts most people off them, so many are just looking for an excuse to cancel the subscription. Most of the content geared for kids is the worst, and is just not suitable for kids once you see what they are doing. Thankfully, our kids are adults now but, if we are lucky enough to have grandchildren, there is no way on earth they will be allowed to watch any of it.

Lol I've been refusing to support Netflix since the Cuties scandal anyway the only reason I have a Netflix account is because my friend wanted me to watch Squid Game and let me use her account if they think I'm going to simply buy one myself so they can get money from me they are sadly mistaken they blew any chance they had getting a penny out of me when they hosted softcore CP and defended it.

I suspect they put cookies on your computer and if two machines with different cookies connect to the same account they will assume it is multiple people.

This is very easy to enforce, as they know all to well if someone is signing in from a different IP/MAC address.
A VPN would be slightly more problematic but not impossible.
My login is shared only with my son @ the same address. They wanna get more money for it, I can make do without netflix
I might be unpopular for this view, but I am more than happy paying for Netflix due to the increased quality in many of their films and shows. I understand that people want to save money, but food and fuel are necessities, whereas entertainment is a luxury. That said, I am unsure how they will enforce this, other than if consistent use on multiple internet connections occurs, particularly on two simultaneously, as over a period of time, this would of course be a red flag for them.
I now expect to be berated for sharing a point of view…. 😬
