I’ll give you the real answer to which Italian chain restaurant is the best. None of them. If it’s a chain restaurant it’s not legit Italian. If it’s a family run restaurant and they only got one it’s legit

Am I the only one realizing that employees are to blame for lack of success of locations, and this kind of speak to a brand is the absolute disaster to a name of any place? I didn’t realize, because I wasn’t raised to be biased, to blame the name because of one unsuccessful experience. Yet, we get doused with praise for Olive Garden, which isn’t like the others. Yet, the employ and management of restaurant locations and the criticism to the brand are beyond obfuscated by this type of criticism.

Fazoli's is not great, but they have one thing going for them – their breadsticks are saltier and greasier than Olive Garden's.
Buca di Beppo is legit. Big portions, very delicious, great atmosphere.
8:34 They put a Buca di Beppo in Appleton Wisconsin, not far from the (thriving) Olive Garden, right on restaurant row. It failed in a few months. Never went there; don't know if it failed because of local habits, food quality, or mismanagement. If it's as good as this list implies, then my guess is that local habits die hard.
7:05 The Old Spaghetti Factory! I have a story to tell…. this is at the Portland Oregon location, mid-1970s. My family was on vacation and we had heard good things about this restaurant chain. So we walked in and were seated, but as usual my brother (on the spectrum) ran off to the restrooms. Apparently on his way back he saw a back door marked Emergency Exit. Yes, he just HAD to open it. Our parents wanted to disappear under the table in embarrassment. I can't even remember the meal but I sure remember that fire alarm sounding and disrupting the other patrons' meals.

Never had carabas but ive had both buca and maggianos i have to say i like buca better than maggianos there both definitely good i guess il be visiting carabas soon

I've had Olive Garden, Brio Italian Grille and The Old Spaghetti Factory, with the last one being my favorite. I love the very retro atmosphere with the old trolley car (at least in the location I've been to) and the great food that's served there. I always get the chicken parmigiana there and it's amazing, also the orange cream soda is great.
Love Fazoli's, honestly.
