Omg NYC is miserably cold in January, plus people are cranky after the holidays. Spend a little more and visit another time!

I checked the prices of hotels during the pandemic and they are awfully low. You can get a 2-3 star standard hotel (Holiday Inn style) for $120US because I guess they are empty right now. A caveat emptor : I read citizens outside the state of New York must provide a health certificate in order to get in, so simple tourists stay home. Me, from Canada, I have to quarantine for two weeks if I cross the border, so, I stay home to be safe.
A few years ago I stayed at the Milford Plaza hotel, now called the Row NYC, for $200US a day–all the other hotels I checked on internet in Manhattan then were in the $350 to $450 range. The hotel was just one block away from Time Square, so, we were close to everything! It is a large four-star (I would rather consider it a three-star because there is nothing fancy about it, but the entire building has been renovated a few years ago). The room was quite small, but I was only going there to sleep. To offer such a low price, they had to cut on size I guess. Hey Sarah, you can give feedback on this hotel if you know about it. Yours truly.
Follow-up: There is no underground parking included in this hotel (like many hotels in NYC), but now to attract tourists during the pandemic because hotels are empty, it offers free parking (I guess in a nearby parking). It cost me $200 to park my car for 5 days when I traveled to NYC on that trip, but as Mrs. Funky repeats over and over in her videos: living in NYC is expensive!
Stay in Hoboken or Jersey City AirBNB in Jersey and you won't be broke and can get to the city in 10 minutes or so

I really liked the video. The hotel and the streets are amazing. Cozy cafes. I think it's much more beautiful there in winter. Now I have a little dream to go on winter holidays in New York.
Very interesting video! The hotel is beautiful, aesthetically it is very beautiful, there is a cozy atmosphere. But it seems to me that not everyone can afford it because of the high prices.
