DF–excellent hotel tip. i've always planned on making the DEATH RAILWAY trek on my own as i was told to avoid the packaged tours. a simple train ride from BKK THONBURI north stn. and the stay there overnight. the street –and bars looks subdued and low key like Chiang Mai…..and yes, i gather not like PATTS. have you ever made the HELLFIRE & 3 PAGODA PASSES visits?—they are much further up the rail-line.

Missing Thailand after 2 months there.. back here in LA for a bit, weather change makes jetlag a piece of cake. It's freezing here in California. I have so much footage and stills from Pattaya, Jomtien, Koh Larn, Koh Samui, Koh Pha Nang and Koh Chang, it's gonna take a month or more to edit pics, and Phantom 4 footage not counting time laps, and other video's into Vlogs. hope I do it justice.
