So how much did you get paid by the food industry for making this video?
Absolute trash. Misinformation at its best.
I have a bag of MSG at home. Asian Americans know what’s up 😂
Yes! Plus MSG is lower sodium than salt but still gives you that salty umami flavor. & some veggies with fast nutrient decay, like spinach, can actually be more nutritious in frozen form!
didn't know that about soy! Good to know bc I love edamame & tofu 🥰
Should blueberries have a list though?
Frozen veggies can never be as healthy or tasty as fresh ones.
Really appreciate that you give advice based on facts, not trendy pseudoscience.
Please let us know what you use on your skin it looks tremendous.
I have a citrus allergy so makes my life interesting 🤓
But I'm intrigued by you.. 🙏
Studies do show a rapid increase in BP due to MSG. Eat it if you want. I’m not.
I would love to hear more of these
The Waffle House has found its new host
My husband & I would get in an argument every time we had Chinese food with MSG😢 so I avoid it where I can😅
Thank you. I get hate for eating so much soy cuz I’m vegan but it’s literally fine.
I have heard that avoiding gluten can actually make you even gain weight.
Which honestly if true…is likely a desired effect for people with Celiac's disease
Better go back to nutrition school.. Such bad suggestions you are giving the confused public
I don't have any health issue with gluten but my life and my stomach got so much better when i went gluten free.
There r times when i do consume it and i can feel the difference. I believe our bodies r much better without it
Thank you for pointing out that you should eat gluten. As a coeliac, I find it so frustrating when people cut it out because they think it's healthy.
I like your common sense approach!
Thank you for addressing the last one. When I first learnt about it, I was super confused because I couldn’t pronounce most of the ingredients on labels of foods. Love your vids ❤️
I like what I’m hearing thank you 🙏
Naw, every time I ate cooking with MSG I got a panic attack shortly after, in fact I was always able to tell when something I ate had MSG I it by if I felt anxious or not after, and people were always surprised when I was right. Maybe I'm just sensitive to it but every body is different.
Here comes the "dietician" again…
I don’t disagree with what you’re saying… but you seem a little too black-and-white with things. MSG in SOME people causes gastro discomfort. Let’s not forget people use MSG as a weight aid because it does cause fullness… again soy is not bad, however it causes in SOME PEOPLE more inflammation than others. You have to remember people mentioning so many negatives of MSG and soy do not step out of nowhere. It caused so many people discomfort.
Certain things affect people more, like gluten.
Thats because the soy in Asian countries are typically fermented and not genetically modified like here in the states . I'm surprised as a Dietician you don't know this
I am so deeply grateful for you and your content. I’ve struggled with my relationship with food and my body for my ENTIRE life. Ive crash dieted more times than I care to admit. Restricting and bingeing and forever in a cycle of eat it all or nothing at all. I’ve started making the moves to simply make choices that feel good for me, add more vegetables and lean protein (instead of taking things away) and be mindful of portions/how full I actually feel. Doing this the last few days has already given me so much energy! And I’ve even started a walking routine.
Thank you again for not shaming people to health. It’s not the way and it’s not sustainable. Following for more ❤
The amount of people I've had to tell to stop cutting gluten out of their diet if they don't have to. Celiac disease took away my favourite food, why would you deprive yourself of bread if you didn't have to?
Gluten isnt good for anyone's thyroid gland. As for american soy, it is GMO, China soy is not GMO.
Ever heard of Chinese medicine?
Um frozen produce/ vegetables in my city are more expensive… that’s why we buy from local vendors
I dont use msg in my cooking because I dont like the after taste. I use a bit of sugar, white or brown depend on the dish. Mushroom also elevate taste in food. We also use terasi & brown sugar for vegetables stir fry
@uncle roger
Totally agree 👍!!! That's so my diet (but I do use fresh veggies because chopping veggies is fun, and fresh fruit does taste much better than tins). MSG is better for the kidneys than rock or sea salt.
There is a study to support anything lol
I agree with all of it, but sadly I do actually have Celiac's so I will be continuing to avoid gluten 🥲
Recently discovered I'm sensitive to gluten and my little bread-loving heart is broken 😭🤌🏻
For consuming soy:
Prostate and breast cancer risks are lower in asia due to lacking of accesible testings and medical attention for our brothers and sisters in lower income margin. Notice that these people are the ones who are consuming soy and other easier to access foods not the upper classes who are having more access to medical attention.
Wait..I was told that the "soy" creates xenoestrogen list which increases the rick of breast cancer???
I really appreciate how u subtitle your videos, just hope it can be at another position because the title if the video covers it on the mobile version youtube.
MSG puts me in the hospital. You can't generalize that some of these foods or additives are ok. Know your body first and act accordingly
Interesting. I’d like to hear more please. 🙏
Yes please keep these coming!!!!
