Neither the Ritz-Carlton nor the Waldorf Àstoria is on-property.
Do you have a video or any tips for people who are not staying at any of the disney world hotel? Like parking tips….?
Stay outside for 1/2 the price and More Room ! Simple!
Storey Lakes Resort in Kissimmee, FL is fantastic! Affordable, close to Disney parks, beautiful and new, waterpark and lazy river included!
I know I am a year late on this but I firmly believe in staying in a Disney Springs hotel. You can get them on average from $75-$150 a night, they are within walking distance from Disney Springs, they include extra magic hrs/early fast pass booking (when that comes back) and they include free bus transportation to the parks.
I'm watching this during the pandemic. Now that there is no dining and no FP, I'm considering other options. Would you update this video for 2020?
I'm hooked on the cabins
When I was 18, 3 friends and I stayed in a cheap but decent hotel on International Drive and took the shuttle to the parks. That was okay back then. (We also went in June right after high school graduation, something else that was okay when I was 18.) Now I have the freedom to go during the value season and stay at a moderate Disney hotel with a much shorter bus ride.
I've never stayed on property before. I've stayed at Shades of Green twice and Swan & Dolphin once. And I had a great time each time. If you consider not staying at one of the Disney owned resorts stay at an onsite hotel with a decent bussing system like Shades of Grades(military hotel btw) or one with close proximity to the parks and other resorts with transportation like Swan Dolphin is within walking and ferry distance to Epcot and Hollywood Studios
ONLY 20 MINS AWAY!!!!
GREAT POOLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’ve had great experiences at hotels near SeaWorld and in the Lake Buena Vista area. The prices and locations are great, it’s easier to get to SeaWorld, Universal, I-Drive stuff, etc., and the amount of money you can save is amazing.
before we moved into FL we would get a magicard from Orlando chamber of commerce. The savings were astronomical. We stayed at one hotel for $28 per night and another for 35. We are cheaper than cheap and have been known to spend less than 2000 on our ten day vacations including airfare.
The free transportation from the airport just take rideshare lmao
Hi Ajay me and my family are going to Disney world next summer and were wondering what hotel is the best value hotel and the hotel closest to the parks (were also looking for a hotel with good food)
We went to Disney last year for my Son's 3rd Birthday. We rented a condo along with my in laws and it was great. Much much cheaper when you are splitting the cost between two families. We paid half and my in laws paid half. And we had a 3 bedroom condo with plenty of space. We drove down so transportation wasn't an issue for us. The only down side was we couldn't book our fast passes until 30 days out but we still did pretty good with what we got. The only thing I couldn't get was slinky dog so we had to wait in line for that one. Were now trying to plan a trip for next year. It will be just us this time so a condo isn't the be option budget wise. But I can't find any reason to stay at one of the value resorts over a Disney Springs resort. You get early FP booking and EM hours, a free shuttle to the parks, and its quite a bit cheaper. Again we drive down so transportation from the airport isn't an issue for us. It would be nice to stay at a value resort at least once for the experience but we may save that for a later trip.
As a Canadian and Disney Vacation Club Member, I can say that staying off property you really rob yourself of the full Disney World Experience. However, to each their own I guess. Utilizing the Airport and Park to Resort Busing is very convenient and the customer service is above any, anywhere.
If you're on a budget or a poor college student or something, it is not required at all to stay on property; you will still have a great time! I personally love being in the Disney bubble but to each their own!
I’ve never stayed on property but now that I have a little one I probably will. At least until she’s old enough that she can make it through the day without needing any breaks.
Went last week and stayed at Celebration Suites, an older place, super cheap, for us Canadians with a large exchange rate, but huge and quiet with nice pools and good restaurants all around. A quick Uber ride takes you to all parks!
We always rent a house. We love having privacy and peace and quiet during any breaks. We like to have a private pool/hot tub and a kitchen and grill. We always rent a car and hit the beach and have a designated pool day. Works perfect! And most homes have rooms for kids that are decorated really cool!!
down with disney up with nature
Love staying at Bahama Bay Resorts and Spa. Condos are reasonably priced and very spacious. Great for large or multi families. Only 15 min from Disney and is close to the other parks too
Keep in mind Orlando traffic SUCKS, there is so much to do/ going on in Orlando the traffic can suck at times (weekends) i used to make weekly weekend trips for cheer competitions at the convention center and there was one time there was a dog show, church group, ping pong, and a cheer competition all with in the some 2 days. I haven’t been recently but last year there was lot of construction on the highway as well, then you have to worry about parking. My suggestion is if you don’t stay on Disney property get a Lyft or Uber because then you dint have to worry about parking.
Hi DFb I know what it like I've been once on property and once off property we stated enclave suite I felt it wasn't good value your money pluses it want universal studios them park .it is the thurtest point from Disney we were having share taxi with at time cost was 40$ split both ways emagin with one family 80 USD over 14days that is night and day difference off Disney world . If you book a taxi don't get hotel to ring for one because it will be a luxury one and more expensive .ring for lift or Uber ,taxi on the mester.
It would seem like absolute hell to not stay at a resort
My family stayed off Disney property this past summer and rented a nice condo 2 miles from the parks. We saved a small fortune. I'm not sure I would stay on property again after that experience.
Polynesian…Is My Only Disney Hotel…!!!!
I like to stay on Disney the outside pools are cool and i can walk around smoking weed chillin
What was that at 2:09? A sink hole?
We stayed at margaritaville resort outside of Disney and used Uber to and from the parks.
Me and my sister are going in 2021 and we’ll be 18 and 20, is it still worth staying offsite even though we won’t have transportation (or money for parking or Uber or left)
Off property my two favourite places I have rented at have been Regal Oaks and Windsor Hills. Regal Oaks is behind Old Town. There are a lot of restaurants and there is also Publix nearby. We rented a 4 bdrm townhome for a very reasonable price when there were several of us going (my sister, her children and our parents). It was quite comfortable, and we had room to spread out, and were not on top of each other. Windsor Hill is also great. It was actually a shorter ride to get to Windsor Hills from the MK than it was from when we stayed at Port Orleans. We have rented a 3 bdrm and also a 2 bdrm condo there, and there are also townhomes and vacation homes available for rent as well. There is a great water park for kids there too. Both are manned gated communities, and as a single mom traveling with my child I have appreciated that security. There is also a super Wal*Mart close to Windsor Hills as well. When we go I usually do a combination of staying on property and off. I usually like to take a few nights on property at WDW, and the rest of it off property since we usually do more than just Disney when we go.
