Thanks for the review on the Waldorf Astoria Cancun. We plan to stay there on our next visit to Cancun. Also, the Hilton Aspire credit card is the bomb. I've used the points earned with it and the annual award nights to stay for free (breakfast included) at the Waldorf Astoria in Disney and Washington, D.C.. Just remember to use it responsibly and pay it off every month.😁
I don't think that's housekeeping have to order you mess. You are responsible to be organized with your all stuf. I don't understand why people think that housekeeping have to organize all your room. I live at Holland and I have to times experience how my vacation partners said to me: ey, are you gone organize your stuf before go outside? then housekeeper can do her job (that's clean, by the way). People from Latin America has to change his mind about be responsible, adult and empathisch & be lazy

Luckily you got the "luxury resort" for free, because we're members of Melia Circle, that runs us $300/night (2 people) all-inclusive (premium food, drinks and wine) in a 1-bedroom suite. The includes private transport to and from the airport, awesome housekeeping twice a day, and the soaking tub on our balcony easily holds two (and hoping to test for 3). Plus there is a separate Circle reception, lounge and pool, so you can avoid the commoners. 😉 Your room was certainly nicer, but not by much and certainly not for the money.

Please review LeBlanc Spa Resort (if possible)? Last time I was there was 2013. Always loved the place and was there when it originally opened (2007-ish). You can't beat the Hotel Zone resorts for the beach – forget about the ones on the northern end and down through Riviera Maya to Playacar. The water is not as nice and it's loaded with seaweed. Another place to try is Cozumel Palace.
Renting a car in the Cancun area is not necessary- their public bus system is excellent

I often rock the chilaquiles at Vips in centro QRO. It's the best hangover food.
Hertz is supposed to be the worse company to rent from.. i havent had issues with enterprise in canada havent rented before elsewhere.

I think the Hilton is a better value net door. Yes, the food might be a step down but no extra fees and the suites are similar over at the Hilton. Know, what your expecting though, ocean and attractions can not match the location of the 1st property for $100 a night.

Cool Cancun has their own Motel 6 I know you can’t get a motel 6 that close to the beach in the USA. And everything is convenient
I stayed at that same aloft Cancun because it was cheap for one night before moving over to Hyatt Ziva Cancun which is a quick walk over. There is a great taco place (tacos rigo) around the corner as well I really enjoyed Hyatt Ziva Cancun as well as Finest Resort in Cancun!

I like to see how much Mexico evoluated through the last few decades ! last time i was in Mexico was in 1981 ! never went to Cancun ! don t like crowds and touristic places ! I was seeking the most remote places, small villages along the Pacific Ocean and inland towns also, like Oaxaca and Puerto Escondido from the 70s and 80s ! But it s nice to see different ! I loved to live in a small hut for 5 $ a week or just tie a hammock between 2 palm trees ! Can i still live like that in Mexico ? LoL 🤠
