Good video Brad. My Isan girl and I will be spending the first week of July 2019 in Bangkok. I am interested in this hotel since it is close to everything we want to do. I told her she looks enought like Ta that they could be cousins. Of course I was told that there was no way that was possible. Maybe we can meet up for dinner? I'll keep in touch.

I remember the land the Centre Point Hotel sits on used to be a large, open air market. I lived in a building across the street from the hotel. I’m amazed how much the area has changed in 30-plus years. The nearby Shangri-la Hotel was just being built when I left Thailand in the early ‘80s. Thanks for the video, Brad. It brought back memories. 😌
Hello Brad and Ta, you guys sure know how to make a guy miss Thailand. Especially this video. I'm Canadian and your wearing Roots Canada shirts. You stayed very near to where I stayed my 1st time in Thailand, in fact, we would walk from our hotel about 10minutes to that BTS station, and had many cups of coffee at that Starbucks. That 30-year-old unfinished Hotel was our landmark to know which way to head back to our Hotel at night time. I asked people about that building but no one seemed to know anything about it. I heard it was suppose to be a Condo and the builder ran out of money. I have video of that area and of one of the boat tours we took from there and of the Asiatique River walk area, very lovely. I'm still working on my video skills so I don't yet get the views you folks do. I had a couple questions for you Brad, because you live fulltime in Thailand do you have medical insurance which you purchased there or back in Austrialia? Can a Farang even buy medical insurance once in Thailand? I'm coming back in Dec. and Searching for the insurance for the 5 months I'm staying is expensive from here. Should I bother or just pay for doctor visit in the event I need to go which I hope I do not. BTW, anyone is welcome to add there input to these questions. Thanks in advance. I can't wait to be on my way back to Thailand.
