I'm just getting over being sick and I'm having chicken mushroom soup 2nyte from a local Asian restaurant in my area ..and I have a few frozen dumplings I wanted to go with it but the oil in my table top fryer is getting kinda old. Beware of microwaving plastics with food! It’s not healthy…and you’ll likely get microplastic contamination in your food via leaching.

I made stirfry pork tonight and you’re right the frozen dumplings were a pain because I didn’t think ahead in preparing them so I tried to fry on high heat- not good😁 but I think I would prefer a steamed dumpling over fried- They look moist but not mushy

If you don't want panfried dumplings, the easiest way to cook them is to drop them into a pot of boiling water and scoop them out when they float to the top. Floating to the top is the indication that they are cooked.

I like to add some rice vinegar, mirin, or other sweet sherry to the water. When it cooks away, the dumplings are perfect, and they have a crisp, sweet bottom. This works very well with spicy dumplings, and with spicy dipping sauces.
