Boring
I have a HUGE crush on John
Actually they put the emergency light on the floor in case there is a fire and a lot of smoke.
In that scenario you would be on your knees because you won't be able to breathe or see…
Same thing on airplanes
John's Q&A reply at 29:10 should be its own excerpted video. Not only is it great advocacy for Japanese tourism, it's just great general advice for planning your trip.
Dude, try going to an Onsen in 1981 like I did when I lived in Tokyo. On a side trip to Beppu , getting naked is the fastest way to get to know your female host family members I tell ya. In a huge hotel bath I was the only foreign woman in there. But the 200 or so other Japanese women were cool and made me feel really welcome.
All I want to say jon all your videos makes me smile all the time even when I wake up in the morning I'm feel so happy . You attitude and your humor really made my day . Continue doing what you are doing in Japan you are very inspiring it make me want to discover japan even more ^_^ amazing contents jon ^^
Hey, John! I just wanted to say thank you for putting so much effort into your videos! You always do so much research, have so much experience, and your videos are so informative! Thank you for sharing all of this! I also just wanted to mention how much I enjoy the atmosphere of your videos, especially this one! This one kind of feels like a cozy informative friend sleepover, which I think is really fun! 🙂
LUCKY!!!!!!!!’🤩
That is a good bathtub nice and deep a bit bit too my bath tub is small really small only big enough to full fit a child adults can’t really take baths in it.
How much 1 night…
Vers sexy jukata John..🌃
Are rooms quiet ? Sound-insulated
You should of told her it's a konyoku onsen and said "Enryo nashi de douzo".
The Japanese definitely have the toilets right, how convenient and refreshing. If my wife didn’t object so much, I’d replace ours in a heartbeat
.
What kind of floor is typically under the tatami?
Exit signs on the floor are also safer in the case of a fire.
Hi John, apart from onsen, what else that is interesting to do in Fukushima? I am interested in exploring Fukushima the next visit.
I lived in Iwakuni years ago when I was in the Marines. I loved your video of Kentai Bridge. Please make another one in full cherry blossom. This time go up the cable car to the castle (even though you're not into castles!) I'm glad I've descovered you, you have become my favorite utube watch!
Officially my fav youtuber.
Wow, that is a very nice hotel room for my family and me to stay at. I would like to know how easy/fast can you get to a train station? (To visit other areas) and any recommendations on where to get Akita beef?
love this video!! love how modern and old is looks!
Love the livestreams keep it up!
Hey John, just catching up on the Fukushima series. So far really enjoying it. When you were showing the room you mentioned it has a private onsen, in case one is shy or has tattoos. I was wondering with the Olympics coming up, are onsen and sento relaxing their rules regarding tattoos, as many tourists may have tattoos?
Honestly, this is one of the coolest ryokans ever! I'm saving this to my list of places to visit in Japan. Thank you!
Can you do an episode on onsens where tattoos are allowed so foreigners like me that are from america and have tattoos that cannot be covered up? Also if I got a personal onsen, what is the ettiquette for me as a person with tattoos
Usually Japanese style rooms are designed for 2 or more people. The same thing happened when I booked my stay at a Hakone Onsen. They emailed me earlier to see if I wanted to save money and book a single western style bedroom but I told them I wanted to Japanese room experience.
Awesome live stream Again John!
JOnsen tour…to be continued…
I'm over 6ft and John seems fairly tall himself, wonder the length of the private onsen in his room? tight fit?
I was watching this last night and I was cracking up when you went outside without your ryokan hoari . I was even wearing my sweatpants under my yukata while walking around Miyajima town from the ryokan. It was cold .I was there in the fall too many years ago. Thats a nice place.
hi John! love your live streams, thank you so much for bringing us with you! I will be visiting Sapporo and Niseko next year- I can't wait! if you happen to be there during the snow festival, please do a meet up (somewhere warm haha)!
Bandai Atami onsen district (Hananoyu the largest ryokan there) are suffering from the huge fall in guests like many others in Japan. So hope someone watching this vid will visit the place.
Love the channel John and for making Japan more accessible to all of us! Dunno if someone has already suggested this, but what about a show spotlighting your opinion on best food cities/areas in different prefectures, etc.? I might be the only one but I'd love that
Love your vids, and I'm subbed to all your channels. Hope to visit Japan some day. It would be pretty interesting and maybe a bit of a challenge for you to pick any prefecture, as well as a random person from that area to take to lunch/dinner. Like a random prefecture/person series. Give you the chance to explore areas you haven't yet as well as showcase the unique style of whatever prefecture you're in. I'd definitely tune in. Stay cool!
Are all ryokan non-smoking rooms?
