This made me cry so hard that I stopped watching Kdrama. And HDL is my first. lol
I started balling my eyes out from episode 11-16 oh he'll nah romance but sad nah the end was just to much how everyone left him and I just feel his pain I would miss her too

These are my thoughts on the ending scene of the show, where they reunite (this is my interpretation and it gave me comfort after that incredibly sad ending, so I hope it gives some of you comfort as well) :
While the ending sequence has been confirmed by the showrunners to in fact be a dream, shared by both Jang Man Wol and Goo Chan Sung; however, I believe it is also a glimpse of the future. This is because, throughout the show, it is established for us, the viewers, that in both the worlds of the living and the dead, promises carry a great deal of power. Whether they are vows of love, or promises made out of anger which then turn into curses and grudges: promises that emerge from the depths of a person's heart have the power to manifest and shape reality. Go cheong myeong's promise to watch over Man Wol prevents him from going over to the afterlife. Similarly spirits like Ms. Choe, Mr. Kim, and Jyeon Hyeong are bound to the realm of the living by the promises they made while dying. Which tell us that promises and a person's dying words before crossing over have immense power to alter reality. And those words can become prophecies that transcend many cycles of reincarnations. In the same way, before leaving for the Samdo bridge, Man Wol and Chan Sung make a promise to each other, to reunite in another life. When Chan Sung goes to visit the painting of Baekdu Mountain, he talks about how he hasn't yet forgotten his promise to Man Wol, indicating that her words have now bound them to each other. And when Man Wol is crossing over, we here Mago's voice talk about how she hopes they make the right choice to let go of each other in this life, so they can reunite in their next one. She says, it is the only way in which they can finally be together forever, indicating that their promise was a prophecy all along. And by making the sacrifice of letting go of each other in their current lives, they earn the right to be together in their next.
Thus the final sequence of Chan Sung and Man Wol reuniting, although a dream in the present, is also a vision for the future they will eventually spend together.
IU's characteristic in a drama is in the beginning she's so happy, and she will left us with sad ending:)

My heart really pained for IU and Jin Goo near the end of Hotel del Luna 🙁 It was so sad and so heartbreaking to see that they had to be separated at the end.

Their love felt so real. The only problem was that the ending was real too. They never got a happily ever after…
After everything she's been through the fact that she had to let go of him…the fact that we never got to see her happy ending. Man-wol deserved so much better. For the whole series i just waited for a miracle for them to have their happily ever after. This scene hurt so bad because it was so realistic. After everything she's been through, she never got a happy ending…don't touch me just let me cry.

Just finnished watch this and now am depressed, shit am so sad right now, damn show made me cry like 'the wolf' did 😭😭👏🏾 I learnt from it though, it was awesome. I enjoyed all the laughter, sadness, seriousness, grudges and moving on it visualised. Loved all the characters, especially the main C. Nuff love from 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲👏🏾👏🏾

Its heartbreaking to think chansung most likely would not meet manwol in his current reincarnation, that he'll spend waiting and dreaming for their meeting once more. Cause how I thought about the ending with them sitting together was just him imagining it that's why I thought of it this way.

Unpopular opinion: Ok so she broke my heart. That was tough to watch. Wont spoil it…but damn it hurt. My problem was his reaction. Like…wtf. Even she looked like it wasnt what she wanted to hear. He shouldve given her SOMETHING to take with her on that journey. I wouldve offered to drink the tea with her and spend a thousand years together just to make up for all she lost in the last thousand years. I wouldve offered to walk across with her just so I didnt spend a moment without her. Then we couldve reincarnated together as ramen and dumplings together for eternity. SOMETHING! I felt like he was built up so much and in the end…failed. Maybe it just me…I dunno…that pain in her eyes…was too much.
*Little bit more…OMG the look in her eyes was all open and vulnerable too! She went from holding all that hate in to finally being at peace with herself! Then…Bye. Like cmon! Men need to step it up. For real…hrumph…
