What I find is Thais are addicted to sugar, we put sugar in a lot of dishes, even savoury dishes, and if the dish doesn't contain sugar, there's usually an accompanying dipping sauce that's sweet. At least that's true for a lot of Central Thai foods and Thai/Chinese/India/Persian fusion dishes. Western stuff like Sandwiches too doesn't escape this makeover, a simple ham sandwich would often have sweetened mayo in it. If you want earthy Thai dishes with no sugar those would be North and NE Thai/Laos foods, apart from the Som Tam papaya salad, most dishes aren't sweet, the original Tam Lao papaya salad isn't sweet, the sweet version is Tam Thai created to suit the Thai palette 😄.
Hats off to Mike for trying everything and never leave a negative review, even if he don’t like food he only have positive criticism. Not many people would eat street food, because they fear of hygiene and getting sick.
Every night before I go to sleep I watch one of your videos to just relax and feel calm. :). Thank you.
I feel the same about bananas as you do brocolli lol, but they looked good.
3:11 I saw that.
That first noodle soup flavour is 100x better than pho.
It kills me the way you always pronounce medley as melody 💀
Coffee IV, I’m up for that.
If I ever make enough money to live comfortable in the US, I'm learning how to speak thai and moving to Thailand.
$1 noodles here is like eating styrofoam.
Honestly if I lived there I'd weigh 500 lbs. I love noodles so much!!!
5:26 wow the thai call it bak cang, its the same exact dish as we the Indonesian Chinese that lives in west borneo. that is our traditional food we also call it bak cang, and we also have our own special day to eat that like a mooncake festival day . glad to see that.

Don't worry Mikey, I constantly ask myself why I still live in the US as well….
Mike Chen, you should eat your Bak Chang with sugar. That’s how I ate it when I was a little girl. Still do till today 😝 You won’t regret it. Heaven in every bite.

17:30 stop exaggerating Mikey and stop putting down the US. That dry ash chicken is no competition. I understand you being a gracious guest but seriously. Stop. Every video you put down the US. If there is one thing we do well, its fried chicken sweetie.
