   At least this is honest.
   The beach is about all Samui has now.
   Even the more expensive hotels where l stayed were in need of maintenance and repair.
   The vibe,pubs and night clubs etc is gone and it's a dreary place.
   Samui will take years to recover.Demolished pubs,clubs and hotels add to the ugly sights.
   With shops,businesses etc shut it's even worse.
   Will the high standards of accomodation return? I don't think so
   The seasonal workers from Udon etc realise that life ain't so bad back in the village and why bother going to an island?
   Businesses, especially hotels are struggling to get and keep staff never mind customers.
