Wow interesting
"Do no not do this either!"
The background of this seems incredibly shady, but this is a genius idea for diplomacy, and more countries should probably export their food.
I’m Thai most restaurant owner are Vietnamese TT
wrr
that's impressive, especially the fact that the government closely monitors quality. as a mexican, I doubt more than 10% of "mexican" restaurants in the US would pass such a test…
I live in a town of about 55,000 people in the US and we have 4 Thai restaurants. And now I’m gonna order chicken larb and Tom kha soup for lunch tomorrow after watching this video…
Shits bomb
maybe cus thai food is good and ethiopian food in nasty
Well, I am glad they are doing it because their government sanctioned food is delicious.
Very interesting…
I think this video is going to be why I break up with my boyfriend.
If there are only 500 Ethiopian restaurants in the country, I feel like half of them are within 2 miles of my house.
'Elephant Jump' – That's hilarious. I assume the authorities knew about an elephant's abilities (or lack thereof) when they gave the lowest class restaurants that name?
Honestly that is fucking genius.
Food and service industries are breeding grounds for human traffickers. Many restaurants become cogs in international webs of forced human labor. This program seems like a godsend to those evil people, I hope this program is shut down to prevent them from trying to capitalize it. I’d trade Thai food frequency to shut off an avenue for such an illicit trade.
What a brilliant strategy.
I DEMAND TO SPEAK TO THE PRIME MINISTER sounds just right
This video has made me question reality.
This proves that soft power albeit slower to project, has a lasting heritage compared to hard power. An example of this is during the Mongol expansion. Despite its contiguous projection of hard power through conquest of Asia, the attractive appeal of cultures that were conquered at that time (Chinese Yuan dynasty, Korean Goryeo, Islamic states, etc.) were assimilated rather than eradicated. In the end, they gained independence with those cultures intact.
3:34 – spotted the secret taste tester. It's a fly. 🤢
Our local Thai restaurant in UK was excellent, and we were always made welcome. Unfortunately the owner/manager went back to Thailand to run the family restaurant there. We were heartbroken, but we managed to find one in another nearby town where we were also made welcome, even if it means extra travel.
We also found a good one in New Zealand, and that did mean a lot of extra travel.
Regrettably, I've only changed flights in Bangkok so never had the chance to visit a restaurant actually in Thailand.
There’s a Thai Restaurant near my house and although it’s pricey it’s so good.
Why is there a Thai restaurant in my <5000 majority farming town.
Are the food prices adjusted for inflation? That's really expensive food for the 1940s!
Technically all americans are from Europe.
Gordon is sweating…
I'm from Thailand and I don't even know there are that much.
I wonder if that's the same reason there's so many thai massage places
3:33 That fly tho
Thai food is delicious. Ethiopian food is fucking disgusting.
Whatever civil servant came up with this scheme deserves a pay raise. Maybe even a monument in his honor.
What are the sources of this information?
